Most of the funds from the State budget will be directed to the social sphere. This was stated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking today at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan.
The head of state noted that more than 70 percent of the State budget funds are spent on improving the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities in etraps and etrap centers.
"Next year, at the expense of the State budget, we will also continue to build residential homes for disabled people and citizens in need of support," the Turkmen leader said.
"Along with this, it is necessary to increase the volume of credit funds allocated for the development of industrial sectors of the economy, stimulate small-scale production, and increase the volume of credit and financial resources for the population," Berdimuhamedov said.
He also stressed that most of the funds allocated from the State budget will be directed to education, health, and the Pension Fund.
The Halk Maslahaty, on the agenda is the priority matters of state chaired by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the first time on a live video link, according to the State news Agency of Turkmenistan.
