The leaders of the parliaments of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey discussed the prospects for developing multi-faceted interstate cooperation during a meeting held via direct video link.

Confirming the interest of the two countries in expanding traditional ties in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the sides stressed the need to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation, which has a significant impact on the progressive development of Turkmen-Turkish relations, as well as exchange experience in improving the national legislative framework.

In our mutual opinion, the agreements reached at the highest and intergovernmental levels, as well as the meetings and negotiations held on a regular basis, directly serve to strengthen the interstate dialogue.

As noted, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's "open door" policy and large-scale reforms aimed primarily at diversifying the economy, creating new profitable industries and modern production facilities with the use of advanced innovative solutions and the best world experience, including Turkish ones, open up broad prospects for building mutually beneficial partnership.

At the end of the online meeting, the leaders of the parliaments of Turkmenistan and Turkey confirmed their desire to expand the political and economic dialogue between the two countries, the State news Agency of our country reports.
