Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with French Ambassador Francois Delaus today, the official website of the Turkmen foreign Ministry reports.
The French diplomat is completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan. During the meeting, topical aspects of the Turkmen-French agenda were discussed.
The foreign Minister of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations. The French Ambassador, in turn, thanked the leadership of our country for the created opportunities for work and assistance in the implementation of the diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the strengthening of the political and diplomatic dialogue. Positive experience of interaction on international platforms was also discussed. The parties discussed the organization of contacts at the highest level and exchanged views on the possibilities of enhancing partnership in the fields of construction, agriculture, and communications. The importance of continuing joint archaeological research in order to study and promote the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people was noted.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Francois Delaus once again expressed gratitude to the Government and the Ministry of foreign Affairs for their full support and assistance in the implementation of his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
Francois Delaus worked in Ashgabat for more than four years.
