Today, in one of the picturesque corners of the capital, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reviewed the projects of Tribal centers of the Turkmen alabai, which will be built in the city of Ashgabat, as well as the Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats.
According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, the purpose of the Breeding centers is to breed purebred Alabai, preserve and develop this legendary breed and its most valuable qualities. The infrastructure of each of them includes a checkpoint, an administrative office, a building for employees, an exhibition and training area, a podium, a building for veterinary services, and other relevant premises.
In addition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was shown various versions of sculptural images of Alabai, which, according to the architects and designers, are planned to be installed on the Central arch and the territory of the complex.
The master plan of the Site intended for holding various competitions among Turkmen Alabai and projects of objects that will be placed on its territory were also presented here. These include a grandstand, exhibition and training grounds, buildings for veterinary services and staff, and other appropriate structures.
In addition, the head of state was offered a master plan and project for the construction of a 30-seat Quarantine center in the Akhal velayat, which will house a complex of specialized and auxiliary facilities.
Noting that the Alabai, being loyal companions, assistants and friends of the Turkmen people for thousands of years, have always shown exemplary courage and selfless devotion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that thanks to these qualities, these four-legged companions of man have taken an honorable place in the history, culture and daily life of our people.
Getting acquainted with the projects, the head of state made a number of comments and suggestions on them. As the President of Turkmenistan noted, the Breeding and Quarantine centers, the Site for holding competitions among Turkmen Alabai must meet their functional purpose and high quality characteristics in all parameters.
"This equally applies to the construction, furnishing and equipping of these facilities, the creation of all necessary conditions for keeping, breeding and rearing of thoroughbred alabai’s, conservation and enhancement of the best traditions of domestic school of the AKC, the formation of valuable gene pool of the breed, an appropriate scientific and breeding on a systematic basis", – said Berdimuhamedov.
After reviewing the various versions of the Alabai sculptures, the head of state drew attention to the fact that they should reflect the characteristic features of this breed.
Due to their appearance, character and behavior, Alabai, distinguished by their physical strength, and, at the same time, benevolence and docile disposition, are very popular not only in Turkmenistan, but also abroad. They deservedly occupy a leading position among guard breeds in many countries of the world, and therefore, when breeding Alabai, it is important not to lose any of their outstanding qualities.
Speaking about this, the President of Turkmenistan gave instructions, including on interior design of facilities where a distinctive feature should be a bright national color.
In Turkmenistan, at the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Association "Türkmen alabaý itleri" ("Turkmen Alabai") was established in May of this year, its Charter and emblem were approved, and the control and audit Commission of the Association was formed.
The formation of this specialized structure, which was headed by the Minister of industry and construction Serdar Berdimuhamedov, is designed to promote the continuity of the best traditions of the national school of dog breeding, breeding and accounting of Alabai on a systematic basis, using methods of national selection and modern achievements of world science.
We remind that in September last year, as the hyakim of the Akhal velayat, Serdar Berdimuhamedov opened the country's first Alabai kennel in etrap Ak Bugday, where breeding and breeding work is carried out, as well as training and preparation of puppies of this breed.
And in May of this year, the opening ceremony of a veterinary clinic and a complex for keeping Pets – fundamentally new facilities that meet modern requirements and are equipped with specialized equipment-took place in the Akhal velayat.
Addressing the Chairman of the Association "Turkmen Alabai" S. Berdimuhamedov and his Deputy A. Yazmyradov, the head of state gave instructions concerning the successful solution of tasks to preserve and transmit to future generations the rich experience and traditions of breeding dogs of the Alabai breed, which are the national heritage of the Turkmen people.
