During today's telephone conversation, foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on his appointment.
The Ministers discussed joint efforts aimed at diversifying the mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. In this context, the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the transport and transit sectors was particularly noted. They also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international politics.
Special attention was paid to the need for joint effective and coordinated interaction in the context of a coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
