Turkmenistan and Romania have agreed to use the potential of the “Caspian Sea - Black sea corridor”

Activation of the international transport corridor "Caspian Sea - Black sea" was the topic of an online meeting between Turkmenistan and Romania.

Participants: The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads and representatives of the agencies "Turkmendenizderyayollary", "Turkmendemiryollary", "Turkmenavtoulaglary", the International port in Turkmenbashi, the Turkmen logistics Association, UIET, the Romanian Foreign Ministry, representatives of the Romanian ministries of transport, infrastructure and construction, as well as representatives of Romanian state companies.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on maximizing the mutual potential of the international transport corridor "Caspian Sea – Black sea", focusing on issues of pricing in the field of cargo transportation, customs duties, and trade benefits.

They also discussed the development of container transport along this corridor by strengthening cooperation between ports and logistics partners of the private sector.

The parties considered the possibility of using the potential of the port of Constanta (Romania), namely, renting and using its cargo terminal, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
