For the purpose of sanitary protection and treatment of large territories and prevention of various diseases of the population living there, air transport is used in Turkmenistan. This is reported by the state news Agency of Turkmenistan.
In particular, disinfection measures aimed at destroying infectious agents are carried out with the help of light-engine aircraft by spraying a one-percent solution of chlorine or 0.25 percent solution of sodium hypochlorite.
Based on the scientific data of specialists, disinfection is carried out in two stages. The first of them is aimed at decontamination of the soil and is conducted from a height of 15-20 meters. The second stage is conducted from a height of 50-60 meters, and it is aimed at destroying pathogenic microbes and viruses that can be found in the air pool at a level of up to 40 meters above the ground. Such events have already been held in the border zones of Mary and Lebap velayats.
Currently, disinfection work is being carried out in the border areas of the Balkan velayat and in the territories adjacent to the cities of Turkmenbashi and Balkanabat, covering the bypass highways that run around the velayat centers of the country and the capital.
Air spraying of a disinfectant solution allows rapid and effective sanitary treatment of large areas in order to prevent diseases and destroy pathogenic microorganisms in the environment.
