President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to ensure public control over the conduct of entrance examinations to higher education institutions and to organize new courses in all schools on the digital system. At the same time, the Academy of Sciences should have a leading role. This was stated at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by the head of state, giving appropriate instructions to Deputy Prime Minister Purli Agamyradov, who oversees the education sector.
In particular, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to strengthen scientific and industrial relations in the field of education, continue work on the introduction of new specialties and ensure the training of highly qualified personnel.
"To do this, it is necessary to study in detail the best world experience and expand ties with foreign educational and scientific centers, send domestic specialists abroad to study innovative industries and invite professionals from other countries," Berdimuhamedov said.
The head of state pointed out the need for thorough preparation both for entrance exams to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, and for the new academic year, by the beginning of which schools and universities in the country should be made cosmetic and major repairs.
