President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov by his decree appointed Gurbangeldiev Jumamyrat Shamyradovich as the rector of the Institute of international relations of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Previously, he served as the Vice-rector for academic Affairs of this University.

The previous rector of the University, Zahyrov Baba, was dismissed from his post in connection with the transition to another job, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.
