The President of Turkmenistan held a meeting of the state security Council

The results of the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies for six months of this year and the priorities of the security agencies were discussed at a meeting of the State Security Council, which was held today by the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Summoning the heads of the security agencies to a live video link at the same time, the Turkmen leader gave the floor for a report to defense Minister B. Then the head of the State border service Sh. Durdyev reported on the results of the work of the structure headed by him for six months of this year. There was also a report on comprehensive measures to ensure the inviolability of the country's borders, as well as on the progress of modernization of the material and technical base of the Department and the conditions created for fruitful service and life of soldiers and officers.

The state border should always remain the border of friendship with all neighboring countries, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted. One of the main requirements of today is the training of qualified personnel who can successfully solve the important tasks assigned to the Border troops, the head of state stressed, addressing specific instructions to the head of the Service.

Then the report of the Chairman of the Supreme Court G. Hallyev on the implemented steps for January-June to reform the national judicial system was heard by direct video link.

Summing up the information, the Supreme Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the country noted that strengthening the material and technical base of the Department, improving the professionalism of employees, and introducing modern forms of judicial organization remain among the priority areas of activity.

Then the Prosecutor General B. Atdayev reported on the measures taken in the six months of the year to monitor the strict implementation of existing legal acts, as well as the results of the inspections.

After hearing the report, the head of Turkmenistan noted that strengthening the rule of law and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens is the most important duty of this body. It is necessary to effectively apply measures of Prosecutor's influence on the results of inspections, the Supreme Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the country stressed, ordering to keep under strict control issues related to the successful solution of tasks.

The head of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on the work to ensure national security and protect the foundations of state independence G. Annayev. Speaking about the importance of the ongoing legal reform, the President of the country pointed to the need to study the world experience and develop proposals for the implementation of generally accepted norms of international law in the legislation of Turkmenistan, taking into account the priorities of the state policy.

At the same time, it is necessary to continue explanatory activities among the citizens of the country about the goals of the adopted and existing laws, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces said, giving the Minister relevant instructions.

Then the Chairman of the State customs service M. Hudaykulyev reported on the state of Affairs in the entrusted structure, the results of work for six months of this year, as well as on comprehensive steps to improve the professional level of employees.

Focusing on improving the activities and technical modernization of the Department, the head of state ordered to keep strict control over compliance with customs regulation measures. Noting the importance of integrated information systems implemented in the structural divisions of the Service, the President addressed specific instructions to the head of this body.

Chairman of the State migration service M. Gurdov reported on the work carried out since the beginning of the year to ensure the effective work of the structure headed by him.

Summing up the report, the Supreme Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the country identified the widespread introduction of information technologies in migration procedures and the implementation of state control in this area as a priority task.

The head of Turkmenistan instructed the head of the Service to continue studying the world's best practices and generally accepted international practices in this field, as well as to train qualified personnel.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the state security Council Ch. Amanov reported on the progress of the military reform aimed at strengthening the strength and defense capability of the National army. There was also a report on the measures taken during the period under review to improve the combat and professional training of law enforcement personnel, compliance with official discipline.
