Medical equipment of the Russian-Japanese company is planned to be sold in Turkmenistan

It is expected that by 2021, the medical equipment of the joint Russian-Japanese enterprise will enter the market of Turkmenistan. This is reported by Vademecum.

The “R-Pharm” group of companies and the Japanese Corporation Canon Medical Systems have established a joint venture (JV) in Moscow to distribute and service medical equipment with the prospect of localization of production in 2021. The company is expected to operate in nine CIS countries.

The joint venture will be named RP Canon Medical Systems, LLC with its headquarters in Moscow and will sell and service diagnostic medical equipment in Azerbaijan, Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia.

The Canon Medical Systems division was formed after Canon acquired the business of developing and manufacturing medical equipment from the Japanese Corporation Toshiba and now operates in more than 150 countries around the world.

R-Pharm has been operating since 2004. We started with the supply of medicines to hospitals. By 2011, the company acquired the “Novosibkhimpharm” and “Ortat” plants and built a plant for the production of ready-made dosage forms in Yaroslavl. After the Japanese company Mitcui&Company in 2017. LTD acquired 10 % of the shares, and “R-Pharm” group expanded its production. Providing distribution of the Japanese company in Russia, “R-Pharm” signed contracts with the Moscow Department of health for the supply of CT scanners in the amount of 2.897 billion rubles in early 2020.
