In July, construction of two more new cement plants will begin in Turkmenistan, each producing 1 million tons of cement per year. The corresponding Decree was signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, allowing the Ministry of industry and construction industry to enter into with two private companies the contracts on designing and construction with accomplishment of adjoining territory of the 2nd stage of the plants in Baherden etrap of the Akhal velayat and in Koytendag etrap of Lebap velayat, with the condition of buildings external lead engineering systems electricity, gas, water and Sewerage, Railways, told the news program "Watan" Turkmen television.

According to the documents, the 2nd stage of the cement plant will be built by the individual enterprise "Beýik-Bina" in the Baherden etrap, and the economic company "Türkmen enjam" in the Koytendag etrap, which became the winners of international tenders.

The decree of the head of state prescribes to hand over the cement plants with full readiness for operation in December 2022.

Noting the need to modernize and further develop the production base of the construction complex at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant managers to keep under constant control the implementation of these significant projects, compliance with the quality of facilities and deadlines for their completion.

According to the leader of the nation, in accordance with the ongoing programs for large-scale industrialization, many different industrial and socio-cultural facilities are being implemented and planned for construction, which require high-quality building materials, in particular, cement. In order to increase the volume of its production, it was decided to build new domestic plants to produce this popular product.
