Various forms of economic cooperation, such as direct investment, joint ventures, project and structural financing, were discussed today at an online meeting between representatives of the foreign Ministry of our country and the French-Turkmenistan chamber of Commerce.
The online talks provided participants with an opportunity to discuss in detail the level of trade and economic relations between the two countries. Opportunities for developing partnership in priority areas, including trade and investment, and the oil and gas sector, were highlighted. Ways to expand cooperation between the business circles of Turkmenistan and France were considered.
In addition, the impact of the pandemic situation on trade and economic relations between the countries of the world and the region was discussed. In this regard, the parties noted a number of measures taken by the Government of our country and the possibility of taking new steps to mitigate the impact of the global pandemic on the national production sectors of the economy, preserve jobs and protect vulnerable segments of the population, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
