President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a Decree awarding the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin the order of Honor for his great contribution to the implementation of the foreign policy of the Russian Federation and long-term public service. This is reported in the Internet portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.

Alexander Blokhin has been in the diplomatic service of the Russian Foreign Ministry since 1992.

From June 1995 to January 2000-Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

From July 2002 to July 2005-Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus.

From November 2005 to June 2010-Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Australia.

On May 5, 2011, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan.

He was awarded the medal of the order "For merits before Fatherland" the first degree diploma of the Government of the Russian Federation "For merits before the state and long-term honest work".
