President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Ashgabat today in the Olympic village as part of the celebration of world Bicycle day in Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, the head of state stressed that, strictly following the obligations assumed; our country responsibly approaches issues of international partnership, giving priority to interaction with the United Nations and its agencies.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the participants for their important contribution to the development of this constructive cooperation in the interests of the country, the region and the entire world community, as well as for their active participation in important events held here.

According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, the meeting with representatives of international organizations accredited in Ashgabat was also attended by Kerim's grandson. During the meeting, the head of the UNICEF office in Turkmenistan, Kristin Weigand, started a conversation with him, asking about his studies and favorite subjects.

The grandson of the President of Turkmenistan noted that at present, all secondary schools in the country attach great importance to the in-depth study of foreign languages. At the same time, learning Russian and English are mandatory in the school curriculum. Kerim also said that Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean and French are studied in depth in some specialized schools.

The representative of UNICEF stressed that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to creating the necessary conditions for the harmonious development of generations, especially the early development of children, as well as the in-depth study of science and foreign languages by young people, and highly appreciated the English pronunciation of Kerim.

Representatives of reputable international organizations in the sports halls of the complex engaged in various sports. They also visited the bowling hall of the Olympic town.
