The development of Turkmenistan's foreign economic relations is one of the key aspects of the policy consistently implemented by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on May 8, the head of state again focused on this, pointing out that it is necessary to strengthen efforts to increase the volume of exports of products produced in the country.
The oil and gas industry plays an important role in this task. In this regard, we note that the total cost of products that fuel and energy companies sold abroad in the four months of this year amounted to more than 1.87 billion us dollars.
Thus, almost 11.8 billion natural gas was exported. Through the state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan, large quantities of automobile gasoline, including ECO-93, produced by the plant in Akhal, as well as diesel fuel, polypropylene and polyethylene, petroleum coke, aviation and technical kerosene, liquefied gas, basic technical oils, petroleum road bitumen, and sulfur are sold.
These oil and gas chemical products, some of which are supplied to European markets, were purchased by companies registered in Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Great Britain, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Malta, Singapore and other countries.
