I firmly believe that prosperity, charity and prayer services, as well as the symbolism of this Night – “Gadyr gijesi”, when the first surahs of the Holy Koran were sent down by Almighty Allah, will strengthen our unity, - said the Address of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Turkmen people.
We have a special reverence for “Gadyr gijesi”-the Night of forgiveness. In accordance with centuries-old traditions, firmly rooted in the consciousness and life of the people, in honor of this sacred Night, “agzachar sadaka” is given, during which prayers are read, people Express their best wishes to each other.
Virtue, justice, and charity are the Foundation of our people's spiritual values. Therefore, in the year that passes under the motto "Turkmenistan is the homeland of Neutrality", following these traditions, guided by humane principles, we release pardoned people from prison in honor of the blessed “Gadyr gijesi”-people who have repented of their deeds and are ready to start a new life.
Taking care of material and spiritual values, moral norms that bind and unite generations, we achieve a harmonious development of society. In public policy, we focus on our heritage as a storehouse of wisdom.
Relying on the creative work of the native people, the powerful potential of the national economy, and the traditions of our ancestors, we pay special attention to further bringing Turkmenistan to new heights of development, successfully implementing socio-economic, cultural, educational, and socio-political reforms. We are carrying out large-scale work aimed at ensuring the prosperity of the country, transforming the appearance of cities and villages, and improving the social and living standards of Turkmen citizens.
We attach great importance to popularizing the spiritual and material values of our people in the world as the most important condition for establishing friendly interaction with the world community. Having laid the principles of good-neighborliness and humanism at the heart of our foreign policy strategy, we are also systematically implementing a policy of broad international cooperation.
We create opportunities to strengthen cultural and scientific dialogue between countries and peoples, which contributes to the enrichment of humanitarian ties," the presidential Address emphasizes.
