As part of the transition to the digital economy, “Turkmenpochta” has fully completed the work on the network of post offices on the territory of Turkmenistan, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.
This made it possible to establish an electronic money transfer service in the country. On the official website of the postal communication company, such services as purchasing goods online by Bank transfer with delivery of the purchase to the specified address are also available.
A number of post offices sell railway tickets. Work is underway to expand such opportunities in velayat and etrap centers.
A project is currently being prepared to launch a barcode tracking service for incoming and outgoing correspondence. A track code (code or tracking number) is a unique postal identifier that can be used to track a parcel with accuracy to the sorting center.
