Today, in the Presidential Akhal-Teke equestrian complex, with the participation of head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, celebrations were held in honor of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse, within which the final round of the international beauty contest among Akhal-Teke horses was held, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The judging panel, which included domestic and foreign experts and horse breeders, selected the most beautiful Akhal-Teke horse among the 10 finalists of the Akhal-Teke breed from Ashgabat, Akhal, Balkan, Lebap, Dashoguz and Mary velayats, which were held twice before the judges. The first time without equipment, the second time with horse ornaments. Each horse was presented to the jury and the public: name, age, pedigree data, owner.
All the horses that made it to the final continue one or another breeding line that goes back to famous ancestors. Numerous fans of "heavenly" horses could appreciate the amazing exterior of the descendants of outstanding Akhal-Teke people who laid the main branches in the breeding of thoroughbred horses.
The horses showed their appearance and training with a truly Regal attitude, conquering with their chiseled lines and impeccable proportions.
The black horse “Gyrsakar”, a descendant of “Gerden” and “Ovadan”, was declared the most beautiful Akhal-Teke horse in 2020. This horse belongs to the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan. Its owner is the honored horse breeder of Turkmenistan Mammetmyrat Gazakov, who was presented with an “Audi Q8” car on behalf of the head of state.
