The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced new dates for the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo, TASS reports. The decision was made following a teleconference meeting of the IOC Executive Committee.
The summer Olympic games, postponed from 2020 to 2021, will be held in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8, 2021. The Paralympic games are scheduled for the period from August 24 to September 5, 2021.
According to information, such an agreement was reached between the IOC, the organizing Committee of the Olympics, the government of Japan and the city administration of Tokyo.
Initially, the Olympic games were to be held this summer from July 24 to August 9, 2020.
