Turkmenistan continues to export its citizens from abroad, primarily from countries where there is a coronavirus epidemic. Among them are students who study at the world's leading universities.

According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, the Agency "Turkmen airlines" organized several special Charter flights to China, which brought home thousands of Turkmen citizens at the expense of the state. At the same time, all the national air carrier's aircraft had a virologist and other medical specialists who took control of the health of returning people while still on Board.

A large contingent of Turkmen youth was in various cities in China until almost the end of 2019, when an outbreak of coronavirus infection occurred in local Wuhan. After that, special flights were also organized for the export of Turkmen citizens from Turkey, Russia, Belarus and other countries. Today, in coordination with the foreign Ministry, foreign diplomatic institutions of our country, and the State migration service, various directions of flights are being worked out.

In addition, Turkmenistan has taken serious measures to prevent the import of infection into the country, strengthened sanitary and epidemiological surveillance and medical control at all border and customs points equipped with thermal imagers, infrared and electronic thermometers, and conducted comprehensive preventive measures and awareness-raising.

As for students who have returned to Turkmenistan, they have the opportunity to continue their studies remotely at their universities, which have switched to Internet platforms by introducing a video format of lectures and scientific and practical classes.

On March 11, 2020, the world health organization declared the outbreak of a new COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. According to official reports, there are no cases of coronavirus in Turkmenistan.
