Today, the second meeting of experts from the Caspian region has started in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The agenda includes discussion of the draft “Agreement between the governments of the Caspian States on cooperation in the field of scientific research in the Caspian Sea”.
The forum is attended by experts from the Ministry of foreign Affairs, the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, the Caspian Sea Institute, experts from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
This project, aimed at strengthening and developing the legal framework for cooperation in the field of scientific research in the Caspian Sea, including monitoring and analysis of natural and anthropogenic factors, plays an important role in the development of research cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Caspian States.
The meeting of experts will continue until February 7, inclusive, according to the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
