Today, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow) Andreas Zinonos, the website of the Turkmen foreign Ministry reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Turkmen-Cypriot relations in various areas of cooperation. It was noted that there is a good potential for strengthening ties in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. The parties stressed the need to develop the legal framework for cooperation for the development of bilateral relations.

The diplomats discussed the expected areas of cooperation for the current year and noted the importance of organizing mutual visits at various levels to promote Turkmen-Cypriot cooperation. In this context, the importance of the planned events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality status of Turkmenistan with the participation of foreign guests was noted, including the International conference "The policy of Neutrality and its role in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development", which will be held in Ashgabat on December 11-12, 2020.

During the meeting, Ambassador Andreas Zenonos presented copies of his credentials and the Turkmen side expressed gratitude for the good wishes in your address.
