The presentation of the book "Turkmen Alabay" by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the opening of the painting exhibition Turkmenistan, Homeland of Prosperity, took place at the Historical park "Russia – my history" in St. Petersburg.
A remarkable surprise for the public was the appearance at the solemn event of Sardar Azmoun – the FC Zenit footballer of Turkmen origin. In a festive atmosphere, Sardar Azmoun was presented with a book "Turkmen Alabay" by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and a diploma of the honorary member of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmens and the Society of Turkmen Culture in St. Petersburg "Mekan". The football player thanked the President of Turkmenistan for the book and his concern for rallying the Turkmen of the whole world through perpetuating the achievements of Turkmen culture.
Recall that at the ceremony of awarding gold medals for the victory in the Russian Premier League 2018/2019, Azmoun came out in the Turkmen national costume – in a red don and a white telpek, thereby showing respect for the Turkmen people and their traditions.
