According to the results of the qualifying round of the2020 AFC Futsal Championship, all 16 participants of the final part of the tournament, which will be held in Ashgabat from February 24 to March 10, have been determined.
The full list of participants is as follows: Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman.
The current holder of the Asian Cup is the Iranian national team, which won the title in 2016. In the final match, the team defeated Japan (4:0). The host team of the upcoming championship – the national team of Turkmenistan, took part in the final part of the Asian Championship seven times (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012).
The venue for the AFC Futsal Championship games is determined by the sites of Martial Arts Arena and Complex of Sport Games of the Ashgabat Olympic Complex.
