The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan launched the countdown to the world exhibition Expo-2020, the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
Within 173 days – from October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021, the city of Dubai (UAE) will be the host of the exhibition of planetary scale.
Visitors expect amazing discoveries and fantastic entertainment. Today Dubai is considered to be one of the most technologically advanced cities in the world. On the shore of the Persian Gulf, under the scorching rays of the sun among the pale-yellow Sands grew incredibly beautiful metropolis, whose famous skyscrapers have become the hallmark of the city.
In his opening speech, the charge D'affaires of the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan, Mr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Hashimi, noted that this world-wide event will be the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, where about three billion people live. International meetings of heads of delegations, scientists, artists and businessmen from all over the world will be held within the framework of the world exhibition. More than 25 million people in six months of global exposure will have the opportunity to see what the human mind is capable of as a whole.
The delegation from Turkmenistan will be the guest of honor and participant of the world exhibition Expo-2020. Today, the consistent development of bilateral relations brings them to a new level, and this makes it possible to strengthen economic, investment partnership and cooperation for the benefit of the two countries. It is no coincidence that On August 30, 2019, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution on the opening of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Dubai. Within the framework of the development of cooperation between the two countries, there is a huge potential for expanding partnership in the field of energy, industry, high technology, trade, and agriculture. Today, a number of private companies and large Turkmen manufacturers are actively working with businessmen of the United Arab Emirates, carrying out mutually beneficial contacts in the field of trade. For example, in June this year, a specialized shop of the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was opened in Dubai.
Turkmenistan's participation in the Expo-2020 will give an opportunity to show the world the modern achievements of Turkmenistan, to present target programs of development of various sectors of the economy, the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, as well as the promotion of domestic technologies, scientific developments, goods and services to foreign markets. The world exhibition Expo-2020 will serve as an effective platform for establishing new contacts, exchanging experience in various fields, expanding the geography of mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners.
