Today in Abu Dhabi held regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the UAE, the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
According to information, the delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Berdiniyaz Myatiev. The UAE delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation on political Affairs, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar.
During the talks, the parties discussed topical issues of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. It was noted that the organization of high-level visits is an effective mechanism in the development of bilateral relations.
The important role of inter-parliamentary relations between the two States was also stressed. In this context, the parties noted the need to intensify the exchange of relevant delegations. The diplomats also noted the positive cooperation of the countries within the framework of international organizations, in particular, the UN. The effective role of Turkmenistan in the process of maintaining peace and stability in the region through peace-loving initiatives and "open doors» policy was emphasized here.
Special attention was paid to increasing cooperation in the trade-economic sphere, it was noted that there are good opportunities for the increase of partnership in energy, industry, high technologies, agriculture. In this context, the importance of the First Caspian economic forum, designed to become an effective platform for discussion and further strengthening of relations between the public and private sectors of the parties involved, was noted.
In conclusion, the parties expressed confidence that the meetings held on a regular basis will contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
