On the eve, the action Immortal Regiment was held in Ashgabat for the fourth time, RIA Novosti reports. About 110 countries, from Alaska to Antarctica, are taking part in the Immortal Regiment event.
In the territory of the Turkmen-Russian comprehensive school named after A.S. Pushkin pupils, teachers of the school and numerous guests gathered to honor the memory of veterans.
The initiator of the action was the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan. Pupils of the school took part in the procession, they carried pictures of their relatives - grandfathers and great-grandfathers who participated in the war of 1941-1945.
Victory Day is one of the most revered holidays in Turkmenistan. War veterans and widows of fallen warriors are always respected and honored.
