Fifty-eight athletes from the Ashgabat and all the provinces of the country gathered the 2019 Boxing Championship of Turkmenistan, which started today in Ashgabat. The organizers of the competition were the Boxing Federation of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy, the Ministry of Education and the Ashgabat Administration.
The championship takes place in the Olympic campus, in terms of equipment and scale, which has no analogues in the region, worthy of hosting competitions of the highest level. On the first day of the competition the first battles took place in 4 weight categories.
The championship of Turkmenistan on boxing will end on 11 May. According to its results, a national team of Turkmenistan will be formed to participate in international competitions.
