US businessmen met with ambassadors of Central Asian countries in Washington DC

In Washington DC, a meeting was held between representatives of business structures and high-ranking US officials with ambassadors of the Central Asian region. During the meeting, organized by Baker McKenzie on the initiative of the US Trade Council - Tajikistan, the participants discussed the commercial and investment potential of Central Asian countries, news.tj reported. The diplomatic representative of Turkmenistan spoke about the work aimed at the development of Turkmen-American trade relations and noted that trade for the countries of Central Asia is the main engine in cooperation with the United States.

It was also emphasized that since independence, Turkmenistan has been fruitfully cooperating with the United States in the oil and gas and chemical industries, computer technology, agriculture, transport, logistics and energy. Such companies as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Microsoft, Caterpillar, Coca-Cola and others successfully work on the Turkmenistan market. A new stage in the development of economic cooperation between two countries began in 2008, when the Turkmen-American Business Council was organized.

There was also information that more than 150 projects were operating in Turkmenistan, in which American capital worth more than $ 2.5 billion was involved as of May 2018.
