Today, the Embassy of Türkiye in Ashgabat hosted an event dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.
The Turkish Embassy, which opened in Ashgabat on May 2, 1992, is the first embassy in independent Turkmenistan.
Turkish Ambassador Togan Oral, speaking to the assembled guests, noted:
“I am proud to address you today as the ambassador of the first country that recognized independent Turkmenistan and opened the first diplomatic mission in Ashgabat. Since the establishment of this embassy, Türkiye and Turkmenistan have cherished exemplary relations based on historical, cultural, linguistic, religious and family ties between our fraternal peoples”.
Within the framework of the event, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Turkish diplomatic service and dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the opening of the Embassy was opened.
