The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during his visit to Kazan, met with the director of the Mariinsky Theater, as well as the general director of the Bolshoi Theater Valery Gergiev and invited him on tour to Turkmenistan, writes “Tatar-inform”.
The famous conductor is performing in Kazan these days within the framework of the XXIII Moscow Easter Festival. The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, thanked Valery Gergiev for his attention to the republic and for providing the Tatarstan public with the opportunity to enjoy outstanding soloists and musical groups.
Valery Gergiev expressed gratitude for the attention and noted that he always comes to Tatarstan with pleasure. He also emphasized that the Easter Festival is attracting more and more interest from the public every year.
National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tatarstan to participate in KazanForum-2024 - the International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World”, which takes place in Kazan from May 14 to 19. The main program of the forum began on May 15 and includes 125 thematic sessions in 12 areas.
