The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Turkmenistan organized a training seminar on communications and public relations aimed at strengthening the capacity of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST).
NRCST staff and volunteers, as well as journalists from local media outlets, were invited to participate in the seminar, according to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

Ermek Baisalov, Regional Communications Coordinator for the ICRC Delegation to Central Asia, spoke at the event. He shared his experience in developing effective communications strategies in the humanitarian sphere and discussed methods of engaging with media representatives and the principles of responsible reporting on humanitarian issues.
Addressing the participants, Mikhail Rakhmanov, Head of the ICRC Mission in Turkmenistan, noted that this was the first time journalists and NRCST staff had gathered to discuss common objectives and approaches to communicating socially significant information, which made the event even more valuable.

Vitaly Zatsepin, Head of the International Department of the National Red Cross Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST), added that holding the seminar is particularly significant given that 2025 has been declared the International Year of Peace and Trust in Turkmenistan.
"The policy of neutrality and the wise initiatives of the country's leadership contribute to the strengthening of peace, good-neighborliness, and humanity both within the country and internationally," he emphasized.
