Turkmenistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov and India's Ambassador to Ashgabat, Bandaru Wilsonbabu, discussed current bilateral issues, as well as cooperation within international organizations, primarily the UN. Particular attention was paid to preparations for major international forums scheduled for December in Turkmenistan, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the talks, diplomats noted the traditionally friendly nature of relations between Ashgabat and New Delhi. The parties acknowledged the effectiveness of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. They emphasized that contacts at the highest and most senior levels are a key factor in developing interstate ties.
A separate topic of discussion was the significance of upcoming international events. These include the International Forum on Peace and Trust and the International Conference "The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation for Sustainable Development," both scheduled for December of this year.
