National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated that international events should reflect the role of women in Turkmen society, their contribution to world culture and the national values they have created throughout history.
As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the National Leader made this statement at a working meeting of the State Organizing Committee for the preparations for the celebration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality, held in the Balkan velayat. Members of the government and vice presidents of the Charitable Foundation participated in the meeting.
Participants discussed ways to implement the objectives identified during the National Leader of the Turkmen People's working visit to the Balkan velayat. Particular attention was paid to organizing an international conference and exhibition dedicated to the role of women in society and their contribution to sustainable development, which will be held in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone on December 10.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the need to intensify the work of the Charitable Foundation's branch, which will be established in Avaza. This will expand the scope of the Foundation's humanitarian principles and strengthen its position in the international community.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people instructed that coordinated work be established among all structures to ensure the organized conduct of international events and that plans for conferences and meetings be developed to complement the list of important events of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
