The International Rehabilitation Center, opened in October 2024, has become a model for modern approaches to children's rehabilitation and habilitation in Turkmenistan. This was stated by Myratberdi Gayypov, Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, speaking at the international forum "Neutrality and Humanism: Comprehensive Support for an Inclusive Future."
As Gaipov noted, the center serves as a platform for sharing best international practices. Close collaboration is maintained with German specialists and rehabilitation therapists, as well as with specialists from the St. Petersburg Institute of Early Intervention.
The center's arsenal includes modern technologies in kinesitherapy, taping, physical therapy, and exercise therapy. Robotic gait and motor training systems, multisensory stimulation systems, and early intervention programs are used to restore motor and cognitive functions in children with neurological disorders.
The center develops individualized programs to develop everyday skills, communication skills, and social interaction, the deputy minister reported. Behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are used, adapted to the child's age and condition.
"The work is carried out in close coordination between healthcare specialists and educators. Conditions have been created in which treatment is complemented by educational support," Gayypov emphasized.
He added that Turkmenistan's neutrality is not only a foreign policy status but also the foundation of a humanistic model that prioritizes people, their health, and well-being.
