The “Miss Universe 2025” title was won by Fátima Bosch Fernández of Mexico. The awards ceremony included the handover of the crown from last year's winner, Victoria Kjær Teilvig of Denmark, according to RBC.
Pravenar Singh from Thailand took second place. The top five finalists also included Stephanie Abasali from Venezuela, Ahtisa Manalo from the Philippines, and Olivia Yase from Côte d'Ivoire.
Preparations for the competition were plagued by an organizational conflict. During a sponsorship event, an incident occurred between Fatima Bosch and one of the organizers, Thai businessman Nawat Itsaragrisil. Bosch was absent from a photo shoot, prompting criticism from Itsaragrisil. He reportedly used harsh language toward the contestant, which the organizer later denied. The conflict led to security being called. Several other contestants left the premises in support of Bosch.
The president of the Miss Universe Organization, Mexican businessman Raul Rocha Cantu, condemned the actions of the Thai businessman, after which Itzaragrisil was suspended from working on the competition.
