On November 20, 2025, the second round of consultations on consular issues between Turkmenistan and Georgia took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry's website reported.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Head of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, D. Muratov, and the Georgian side was represented by the Director of the Directorate of International Law for Consular Affairs and Diaspora of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, G. Tabatadze.
During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular, legal, and migration spheres. They discussed protecting the rights and interests of citizens of both countries, as well as information exchange between the relevant agencies. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of modern technologies in consular activities.
Both sides expressed interest in further strengthening contacts between the consular services of the two countries.
Following the meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed. The parties agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Georgia.
