The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has released the schedule of matches for the 2026 IIHF World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, Division III group “B”, for players under 18 years of age.
The tournament will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from February 13 to 19. The Turkmenistan team will play three matches in the group stage: on February 13, they will face South Africa (kickoff at 16:30 Ashgabat time), on February 14, they will play Iceland (4:30 PM), and on February 16, they will take to the ice against the tournament hosts, Bosnia and Herzegovina (23:30).
The tournament will feature six national teams, divided into two groups. In addition to Turkmenistan, group B includes Thailand and Luxembourg. group A will feature Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, and South Africa.
According to the regulations, each team will play three preliminary round matches against opponents from the opposite group. Following the group stage, the top two teams will advance to the semifinals, where the winners will compete for the tournament's gold medal.
