The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and the Estonian Academy of Electronic Governance signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of digital governance.
The document was signed within the framework of the international exhibition and scientific conference "Turkmentel - 2025", which is taking place in Ashgabat from November 12 to 14.
The memorandum was signed on the Turkmen side by Minister of Communications Hajymyrat Hudaygulyev, and on the Estonian side by Chairman of the Council of the Academy of Electronic Governance Hannes Astok.
Three more agreements were also signed on the sidelines of the conference. Specifically, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of cybersecurity with the French company THALES DIS France SAS and a memorandum of understanding with the American company Palo Alto Networks INC.
The “Turkmentelecom” telecommunications company and the Kyrgyz open joint-stock company “Kyrgyztelecom” also signed a memorandum of intent on mutual cooperation regarding the transit of communications flows.
