A new production of "Mowgli," based on Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book," has been staged at the Ta-Tal inclusive theater, according to "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

"We didn't show Mowgli's entire story because it's a very well-known work," explains the theater's artistic director, Tatyana Ovezmuradova. "We focused on key events to emphasize the idea that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has a choice. For example, Mowgli reached out to people, and Erica, a girl from an Indian village, ran into the jungle after Mowgli to save him."

The costume designers came up with an original solution: they used a modern clothing style with a fluffy trim, referencing the skins of animals in the wild.

The name of the Ta-Tal Theatre comes from a comment made by a member of the audience, who, upon seeing children perform on stage, exclaimed, "So talented!" The theatre has approximately 140 children of various ages, some of whom have special needs, the source notes.
