A conference titled "Modern Views on Diabetes" was held at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan and the Cardiology Research and Clinical Center to mark World Diabetes Day, celebrated on November 14, according to the Turkmenistan newspaper.
At the conference, a number of university professors and lecturers presented reports on methods of diagnosing and treating diabetes mellitus and its complications.
In addition, attention was paid to the specific clinical features of a number of diseases associated with diabetes. The hypoglycemic effects of local medicinal herbs and plants in patients with diabetes were discussed.
Following the presentations, a question-and-answer session with the audience took place.
