Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova held talks with Oliver Stolpe, Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan.
The parties discussed current issues of cooperation in countering modern challenges and threats.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the key topic of discussion was the promotion of a draft agreement on the financing of joint programs aimed at developing national capacity to counter cross-border threats.
The Turkmen side confirmed its readiness to continue constructive cooperation with the UNODC across a wide range of areas, including cybersecurity, combating synthetic drugs, and human trafficking.
