A solo exhibition by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Khadzhi Atakdaev, dedicated to his 80th birthday, opened at the Exhibition Center of Fine Arts in Ashgabat.
As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the anniversary hero presented more than 100 works, most of which were engravings and illustrations for fiction.

The exhibition features illustrations for many children's books.

According to Charymurad Yazmuradov, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, in the early 1990s, Khadzhi Atakdayev created illustrations for children's books using watercolors, and in Turkey, these were transferred to computer technology. Thus, Khadzhi Atakdayev acted as an innovator, combining handcrafted work with computer technology.

A large exhibition of engravings is dedicated to Magtymguly. Titled "The World of Magtymguly," the exhibition conveys the artist's philosophical reflections on the life and work of the brilliant Turkmen poet and thinker. The engravings are executed in pencil and etching.

Khadzhi Atakdaev's paintings span a variety of styles. For example, "Composition" and "Tenderness" are avant-garde, while "Family" is realistic.
As the artist's son, Adyl Atakdaev, noted, his father always had a youthful outlook on the world around him and has retained this valuable quality to this day.
