On November 5, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting dedicated to the results of its activities for the period from January to October.
As reported on the website of the Mejlis, during the reporting period, 17 laws were adopted that regulate relevant public relations in various areas of the country's life and are related to legal support for the state's foreign policy initiatives, including the Constitutional Law of Turkmenistan "On the Legal Foundations of the Policy of Peace and Trust of Neutral Turkmenistan", the Laws of Turkmenistan "On the Approval and Implementation of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan", "On the Court", "On the Unified State Register of Voters", "On the Establishment of the Jubilee Medal of Turkmenistan "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna", "On Accession to the 1988 Protocol to the International Convention on Load Lines of 1966", as well as 18 resolutions of the Mejlis.
Amendments and additions were also made to some existing legislative acts related to criminal, arbitration, civil, criminal procedure, family, labor relations, tax, administrative and production issues, motor transport, internal affairs agencies, migration and customs issues.
The meeting heard presentations on the ongoing activities of working groups established in the Mejlis to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and improve the people's standard of living.
The importance of the official visit of the delegation led by the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation in the development of inter-parliamentary relations was also noted.
The activities carried out by deputies to review with the public and prepare relevant proposals for naming and defining the symbol of the new 2026 were also discussed, and upcoming tasks in this area were identified, the source noted.
