The Turkmen Literature and Creativity Week in the Republic of Türkiye opened at the Turkish Literary Society in Istanbul, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Türkiye.

The event was organized by the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan jointly with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

The opening ceremony included a presentation of the poetry collection "Woman and Word in the Turkic World," published to commemorate the 85th birthday of Hero of Turkmenistan, People's Writer Amangozel Shagulyeva, laureate of the International Magtymguly Prize.

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev and Hero of Turkmenistan, People's Artist Saragt Babayev, delivered welcoming remarks. They noted that the week is evidence of the strengthening of humanitarian ties between the two countries.

On the same day, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" opened in the building of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Istanbul.

The week will feature cultural events, exhibitions, creative meetings, and poetry evenings in Ankara and Istanbul. Representatives from Türkiye’s government and public circles, cultural and artistic figures, and journalists participated in the event.
