British King Charles III has developed plans for his own funeral amid his battle with cancer, RadarOnline reports, citing sources.
According to the publication, the monarch has not yet discussed the details of the ceremony with Prince William, but the heir to the throne is ready to take on a leading role in governing the state.
The king's deteriorating health prompted a meeting with Prince Harry in September — his first in 19 months. According to sources, Charles III expressed his desire to see his youngest son at the funeral ceremony.
The monarch plans for the funeral to be held on a grand scale comparable to the farewell ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II. Hundreds of politicians, spiritual leaders, and family friends will be invited to the event. Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will not be on the guest list.
In mid-October, Charles III appeared with Prince William at the COP30 climate summit in London. Media reports noted that the monarch appeared noticeably weaker.
