The Nury Halmamedov International Arts Festival "Sounds of the Dutar," in collaboration with the Russian State Library, held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Face of War in the Mirror of Art," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The conference focused on preserving historical memory for future generations, rethinking the lessons history has taught humanity, and creating fundamentally new approaches to understanding concepts such as heroism, patriotism, love for one's homeland, spirituality, friendship, and compassion in the complex conditions of the modern world.

Alla Semenyuk, Head of the Music Publications and Sound Recordings Department at the Russian State Library, Chair of the Music Libraries Section at the Russian Library, and PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, delivered a welcoming speech at the conference's opening ceremony. She noted the significance of this event not only for cultural and artistic figures but also for the global community as a whole. Second Secretary of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, Senem Seidieva, drew the participants' attention to the importance of developing intercultural dialogue and preserving historical memory for future generations. She donated to the library a book by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood." Composer Mamed Guseinov presented an in-depth analysis of this work, emphasizing its philosophical reinterpretation of Shukur bagshy's heroic deed in the context of a harbinger of Turkmen neutrality.
The Festival Organizing Committee donated to the Library a book by Sukhan Tuyliev, "The Theory of Turkmen Music," and collections by Mamed Guseinov: a collection of selected choral works, "Crystal Chapel," and an album, "Six Children's Pieces for Piano," with illustrations by the Turkmen artist Kossekmurad Nurmuradov.

Conference participants presented papers on various fields of art and science. A large segment of papers was presented by Turkmenistan. The conference in Turkmenistan was moderated by Elena Osipova, Associate Professor at the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory. Participants from Turkmenistan presented papers that focused on the events of the Great Patriotic War, focusing both on individuals involved in the war and on works by artists about the wartime past.

A concert was held as part of the conference, according to a press release from the Organizing Committee of the International Arts Festival "Sounds of the Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov.
