The OGT 2025 international conference, dedicated to global energy and strategic cooperation, opened in the capital of Turkmenistan.
The opening ceremony was held under the theme "Shaping the Future of Global Energy in the International Year of Peace and Trust." The central theme of the first plenary session was the key trends shaping the future of the energy sector: decarbonization, technological innovation, and the development of renewable energy. Particular attention was given to the role of Turkmenistan, which holds the fourth-largest natural gas reserves in the world, with over 50 trillion cubic meters. High-ranking energy sector representatives from various countries are participating in the conference.
Speakers include Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov, Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov, as well as heads of major international energy companies and organizations.
Forum participants will discuss modernizing energy infrastructure, expanding export routes, and strengthening international partnerships. The conference aims to attract investment and enhance the region's role in the global energy system.
