1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with eight Ahal-Teke horses as part of the celebration of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse by representatives of all regions of the country and law enforcement agencies. On behalf of the residents of the Ahal velayat, the head of state was presented with a horse named Arkach, from the Balkan velayat - a horse named Gazal, from the Dashoguz velayat - a horse named Diyar, from the Lebap velayat - a horse named Gunesh, from the Mary velayat - a horse named Palvan, from the city of Ashgabat - a horse named Ynamly, and on behalf of the horse breeders of the city of Arkadag - a horse named Parahat. On behalf of the military and law enforcement agencies, the head of state was presented with a horse named Watanchy.

2. The award ceremony for the winners of the International Competition "The Most Beautiful Ahal-Teke Horse of the Year" was held at the Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy in Arkadag with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Ten elite Ahal-Teke horses of various colors reached the final of the competition, and the winner was the dun horse Melegush born in 2020. On behalf of the President, the owner of the winner was presented with the main prize - a Toyota Camry car, a challenge cup and an honorary diploma.
3. On 25-26 April 2025, a delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Culture Atageldi Shamyradov visited Erzurum, Turkey to attend the 6th ECO Ministerial Meeting on Tourism. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation in the tourism sector were discussed, and the Minister emphasized the strategic importance of tourism for Turkmenistan, which has a rich natural and cultural heritage. Bilateral meetings were also held to develop a sustainable and prosperous tourism sector in the region.
4. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the adviser to the Prince of Monaco, the founder of the organization "Peace and Sport" Joel Bouzou as part of the celebration of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse. They discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in the sports sector, including following the recent visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to Monaco. The parties expressed confidence that the talks will give bilateral relations a new qualitative development.
5. In Arkadag, within the framework of the celebration of the Day of the Ahal-Teke Horse, a new monument Taýçanak (Foal) and a reconstructed section of Ahalteke Atlary Avenue were opened. The square near the monument was decorated in the traditions of the Turkmen toy, the holiday was accompanied by performances by artists and music. The ceremony ended with the launch of multi-colored balloons into the sky - a symbol of peace and prosperity.
6. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, which took place at the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex. The head of state got acquainted with the exhibition of national horse breeding traditions and yurts representing the regions of the country. The central event was the equestrian competitions, where the main prize of the President of Turkmenistan was won by the horse Bezirgen. At the end of the event, an awards ceremony for the winners was held, and the head of state was presented with a carpet on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.
7. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree appointing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to New Zealand. By another decree, the head of state appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Türkiye Mekan Ishangulyev as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tunisia.
8. The International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev in Arkadag hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the creative competition for the best artistic embodiment of the image of the Ahal-Teke horse. Prizes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov were awarded in six nominations, including carpet fabric, an ensemble of horse decorations, paintings, sculptures and a video. The winners received awards for outstanding works dedicated to the culture and art of Ahal-Teke horses.

1. In May 2025, scientists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences predict several significant periods of geomagnetic disturbances. The month will begin with the excitation of the magnetosphere on May 1, and a strong magnetic storm (5 on the Kp scale) is expected on May 2. After a short period of stabilization on May 3-4, a powerful storm (5 Kp) is again predicted from May 5 to 7. In the middle of the month, from May 11 to 17, a calm geomagnetic period is expected, but from May 18 to 21, increased activity will again be observed. People sensitive to changes in the magnetic field are advised to take these forecasts into account to prepare for possible fluctuations in well-being.

2. A group of scientists from the UK have announced a project to recreate the skin of a Tyrannosaurus rex using DNA fragments and collagen from the prehistoric predator. The key resource for the study will be a unique Tyrannosaurus rex fossil discovered in Montana in 1988, from which it was possible to extract a collagen fragment and even dinosaur blood proteins. The researchers have developed a method for reconstructing the complete collagen sequence and introducing genetic material into skin cells to grow the material in the laboratory. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a biologically identical Tyrannosaurus skin alternative to traditional leather production with high durability and biodegradability.

1. “Barcelona” beat “Real Madrid” in the Copa del Rey final, winning 3-2 in extra time. Pedri, Ferran Torres and Jules Kounde scored for the “Blaugrana”.
